The God-sized vision for Christian camping on the North Shore of Clear Lake continues - 75 years and counting! Over the decades, IRBC's summer and retreat ministries have experienced tremendous growth. As the ministry has grown, so has our need for additional staff housing. For years we have prayed for God housing close to the camp; near enough for ministry, yet off the campground so IRBC can remain fully dedicated to what it was built for - Campers!
God is answering that prayer!
We have signed a purchase agreement for 2.84 acres located a half a mile from IRBC on McIntosh Road. Even more exciting, the developer we are purchasing from is partnering with us and the City of Ventura to allow the creation of a subdivision directly adjacent to our current McIntosh Road property.
This new subdivision will accomplish two significant goals for IRBC's future:
- Camper Housing
By relocating certain staff housing off the campground, we can repurpose the prime property on the west side of camp to build new camper housing, eventually replacing Family Youth, Loops, and two staff housing locations. - Staff Housing
The additional land will be a cul-de-sac of staff homes. This location is the closest possible land to the camp, enabling staff to easily move between home and the all-hours rhythms of camp ministry.
How to Pray & Participate
The purchase price for the land, including the cost of bringing utilities to the property, is $290,000. The goal is to raise the full amount by the end of 2025. We invite you to join us in praying, giving, and celebrating God's continued provision as we prepare for the next 75 years of ministry at IRBC.
As you consider your year-end giving, would you prayerfully remember IRBC?
